Open and transparent

FoodRadar is a directory of street food vendors in Switzerland. Listings are published by the vendors themselves or, for listings marked "Unclaimed listing", compiled by FoodRadar from publicly available information; the vendor can claim, correct or remove such a listing at any time. The Terms of Use explain what that means. Terms of Use

  • You can have your listing corrected or removed at any time; removal requests are handled within one working day.
  • Free: no sign-up fee, no subscription, no commission.

Frequently asked questions

Does a listing cost anything?

No. Browsing is free, and listing a vendor is currently free as well: no listing fee, no subscription, no commission.

How does a vendor register?
  1. Create an account at foodradar.ch/Account/Register with an email address and a password, and confirm the email address.
  2. In the dashboard, add the listing: business name, vendor type, description, cuisines, contact details, photos and, optionally, a menu with prices and dietary tags.
  3. Submit it. The FoodRadar team reviews new listings before they appear publicly; the vendor is emailed when it is approved.
  4. Publish a schedule so customers can find the vendor when it is open.

A business that is already on FoodRadar does not register again: it finds and claims its listing at foodradar.ch/en/for-food-trucks.

How do I receive quote requests?

If your listing says you trade at events or take private bookings, visitors can ask you for a quote from your listing and from the "A food truck for your event" page (foodradar.ch/en/private-events). Once your listing is claimed and your e-mail address confirmed, each request reaches you directly by e-mail — reply to the e-mail to write to the client — and appears in your dashboard under "Event requests". Three links in the e-mail, "Interested", "Not available" and "Booked", tell us where it stands. Until the listing is claimed, FoodRadar passes requests on to you itself, by e-mail or phone. It is free: no commission, no subscription.

How can I contact FoodRadar?

Email info@foodradar.ch. Replies usually take a few working days. To change an existing listing, write from the email address on the vendor's account.

What is an "Unclaimed listing"?

Some listings are compiled by FoodRadar from public sources — official municipal programmes and the vendor's own website or social media — before the vendor has taken them over. They are marked "Unclaimed listing" and carry no photos. Hours marked "Hours to be confirmed" are never shown as open now. The vendor can claim, correct or remove such a listing at any time from the listing page, or by writing to info@foodradar.ch; removal requests are handled within one working day.

What happens after I claim my listing?
  1. We check that the listing is yours, then you receive an e-mail “Your listing is yours” with a link.
  2. The link lets you choose your password (it is valid for 24 hours); if you already have a FoodRadar account, you simply sign in.
  3. Your dashboard opens: add a photo, check your stops and hours, complete your menu.
  4. Under “Share”: the widget for your website, the calendar for your customers and your QR codes to print.
